In S1/2 pupils will build skills on the visual elements , – Tone, Line, Shape, Texture and Colour. These skills will be developed in a wide range of media, allowing pupils to access a variety of experiences and outcomes. Pupils will experiment and boost their confidence through exploring these areas and develop practical skills through a range of media such as mask, paint, charcoal,……. You will also be introduced to the work of relevant artists.
Pupils who decide to pursue Art and Design in S3 will focus on completing either a design or expressive piece showing a development of their ideas and using research. In this unit pupils will show how they have developed their initial ideas and explored different styles of different artists.
