In S1/2 pupils will build skills in voice and movement and characterisation. These skills will be developed in a wide range of units, allowing pupils to access a variety of experiences and outcomes. Pupils will experiment and boost their confidence through exploring these areas and develop practical skills in all the production arts – acting, prop design and building, set design, stage make-up and hair, costume design, sound and lighting design.
Pupils who decide to pursue Drama in S3 will focus on devising their own play, using textual extracts to explore all production areas and produce a ‘community drama’ performance to a targeted audience.
