Creative Industries

Creative Industries is a National 5 qualification.  There are four units.

  • An Introduction. Research into the jobs available in the creative industries.  Looking at students employability skills, the pros and cons of self-employment, health and safety issues and agencies that support the creative industries.
  • Developing Skills.  In any of the following areas: Advertising and marketing, Architecture, Crafts, Design: Product, Graphic and Fashion Design, Film, TV, video, radio and photography, IT, software and computer services, Publishing, Museums, Galleries and Libraries, Music, performing and visual arts
  • The Creative Process. Working with others and responding to a brief.  A personal response and a group presentation.
  • The Creative Project. Art exhibition/display, Production of school year book, Production of music CD, Drama production, Animated short film, Website or blog, Fashion show, Community project, Puppet Show tour to Nursery Schools, Street Theatre / Parade
