Our Broad General Education (BGE) courses continue on from learning in Primary and take our pupils to the examination course that suits them best.
Most pupils should enter Knightswood Secondary School having achieved second level. Our courses in S1 & S2 cover learning at 1st, 2nd and 3rd levels. Each course is split into 5 blocks and there is an assessment at the end of each block of work. All of the Experiences and Outcomes are covered over S1 and S2 in a ‘first pass’, pupils then work on consolidation or extending their learning.
A formal Homework exercise that should be returned to the class teacher for marking is issued on average every two weeks.
