Through dance pupils can broaden their horizons and become successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors. The department is committed to high standards of conduct and achievement. |

The Dance Department offers SQA Certification at National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher level. In addition pupils can undertake the Dance Leadership Award. On successful completion of these awards, certification gained will be helpful for those wishing to pursue a career in dance or a dance related area i.e.
- NC/HNC/HND Dance Artists courses and NC/HNC/HND Fitness, Health & Exercise courses at various Further Education Colleges.
- NC/HNC/HND Drama courses at various Further Education Colleges
- Dance/Drama Degree courses at various Universities
- Working within the Sport and Leisure industry
- Nursery and Primary teaching
